Cowl scarve

Ok the cowl I have here is made to fit a child from 4-6. This of of course can be changed to fit teen - adult, just by changing the amount of beginning chain row.  What you want is to ch the width of your neck. Measure from the collar bone to the chin.

What you'll need:
Crochet hook  (k 6.5 mm)
Yarn needle
Scissors

Ch 22

Row 1: Dc into the 4th ch from hook, and every ch to end.

Row 2: ch 3 (this counts as your first dc)
Sp first st, and dc into the next, and the next 18 sts.  (20sts)

Row 3: ch 3 sp  first st and dc into the next st, and the next 19dc. Working the last dc into the top of the ch 3. (20sts)

Row 4-40 repeat row 3.

Whip st the two ends together. Place a st marker on the outside of the cowl so you know the inside from the outside.

Take the side, which is now the top/ bottom of you cowl.
Add yarn and ch 2 this dose not count as a st.

Row 1: place 2 dc into the first sp. (Which is the end dc, and beginning ch 3) Make 2dc into each.  slst into top of first dc. (80 sts)

Row 2: ch 2, *1 fpdc, 1 bpdc * repeat from * to* slst into first fpdc.

Row 3: ch 1, *1 fphdc 1 bphdc* repeat from *to*. Slst into the top of first fphdc.

repeat on other side.

weave in ends and enjoy!!
